Cooking Under Fire

So we've been watching Cooking Under Fire on Channel 2, and I don't know what I should think.

It's a by-the-book "reality" show, where every week there's a new challenge, and one contestant gets eliminated. At the end of the series, somebody wins the big prize.

The previous "reality" shows on PBS were more academic studies: Can I survive in 17th-century America? Can I get a date in Regency times?

It's an OK show, but I expect more from the Peeb.

But it stars Ming Tsai! And you do learn things like "Never Cook Your Fish First" and "Wearing Sunglasses Atop Your Head = Grave Disrespect"
