The all time August low temperature was tied in St. Cloud this morning. The low of 33 degrees this morning tied the previous record set back on August 31st, 1974.
St. Cloud smashed its daily low temperature record for August 21st. 33 degrees this morning breaks the previous record of 42 degrees set on this date back in 1923.
Minneapolis also handily broke its daily low temperature record for August 21st. The Mercury dropped to 44 degrees this morning... breaking the old record of 50 degrees set on this date in both 1956 and 1920.
Eau Claire Defeated its daily low temperature record for August 21st as well. The temperature in Eau Claire fell to 38 degrees... easily breaking the old record of 44 degrees set on this date back in 1925. Eau Claire narrowly missed tying its all time August low... which still stands at 36 degrees set on August 30th... 1915.
Little Falls broke its daily low temperature record for August 21st. The cooperative observer in Little Falls this morning reported a low of 34 degrees... breaking the old record of 40 degrees back in 1956.
