Yogi Weight Management

From Chowhound:

According to Yeshi Donden (check out his book, Health Through Balance, published by Snow Lion Publications), who was for years the personal physician of the Dalai Lama:

"If you want to be thin, you should drink fluid before eating and then, after eating, not drink much fluid. If you want to remain as you are, you should take fluid along with the meal. If you want to be fatter, you should eat first and take fluid afterward; for instance, after the meal take a cup of beer with honey in it. If you want to lose weight, before the meal take a cup of boiled hot water with honey in it; boil the water, cool it off, and then add in a little honey."
